How to Pull Off the Ultimate Cool-Girl Power Suit

I recently had the opportunity to speak at Boston University about blogging and the fashion industry. It was so much fun talking to the girls from the fashion retail association. One of them asked me about the process of getting ready and how I select my looks and that actually got me thinking.

I love any and every occasion to dress up, so when I was thinking about my outfit for this day, I knew I wanted to wear something that said business but fashionable. A few weeks ago I saw this suit online and I took a screenshot. Last week, I was browsing through my phone (I have a folder on my iPhone named "outfit ideas") and saw the suit again. The next day I went to the store and luckily they had both pieces in my size (they run a little bit large so I got both pieces in petite). I knew I wanted to reinvent the classic power suit, so I decided to wear my favorite crochet top to make the outfit look chic, fresh and Spring-ready.
