Practice This Shimmering Smoky Eye For Your Next Night Out
A fierce beauty look for a dinner date or girls' night out doesn't have to involve a vampy lipstick color. Sometimes, all you need to stun is a deep smoky eye, flawless complexion, and a kissable pout.
On YouTube, Jaclyn Hill shows off her favorite evening look, which consists of those basic elements. She starts her tutorial by priming and concealing her lids to create a clean base for her makeup. Then using a variety of neutral eye shadow colors and glitter, she creates a shimmering-to-dark ombré eyelid. The key to Jaclyn's bold eyes is simply using a dense-haired brush to apply dark color and a longer, wispier brush for lighter hues.
When applying the deepest shade of your look, Jaclyn stresses that the easiest way to avoid harsh application is to pat the shade onto the outer corner of your eyelids and then blend it out with a fluffy brush. This will ensure that your makeup doesn't show up in patches.
