19 Times James Charles Inadvertently Created the Perfect Halloween Costume
In the span of a few months, 17-year-old James Charles went from being a convivial beauty blogger with a dedicated following to CoverGirl's first-ever male brand ambassador. What's most impressive, however, is that James hadn't actually tried makeup on himself until last year. In an interview with POPSUGAR Beauty, James said he tried makeup only a year ago after loving "the feeling of being able to finish a glam look on a friend and having them feel beautiful."
Though his Instagram is full of everyday and ultraglamorous makeup inspiration, there's a surprising amount of ideas sprinkled in there that make for perfect Halloween looks. Many of these more over-the-top looks are inspired by Halloween staples - like mermaids or Alice in Wonderland's Mad Hatter - but James manages to interpret them in a way that makes them all his own.
