Bus Driver Custom-Crochets Toys For Each of Her 34 Little Passengers
A lighthearted challenge resulted in an elementary school bus driver gifting her student passengers with incredible custom-made toys simply out of the kindness of her heart.
After her students showed an interest in her crocheting hobby, Trudy Serres allowed them to challenge her by having her crochet the knitted toys of their choosing. Not only did she fulfill that challenge, but she also ended up crocheting a whopping 34 toys! On Facebook, Serres explained, "The students got to pick what they wanted and I crocheted it," adding, "It all started with a taco, and it ended up being 34 items."
Serres later learned from parents that her students really treasured the toys. "All loved them. Found out from parents that some take them to bed, some go to church with them. Some had to go on vacation with them," she wrote. "Makes my heart melt that these little items mean so much to these beautiful children."
As if the story alone wasn't adorable enough, Serres also shared pictures of the many colorful and creative toys she ended crocheting, shown above.
