Start Your Day on a High (and Healthy) Note With These Weed-Infused Coffee Pods
If your morning cup o' joe just isn't cutting it anymore, we may have just discovered your potential savior: Brewbudz. Founded by the revolutionary geniuses at Cannabiniers (man, these are some creative names), Brewbudz are essentially a collection of weed-infused coffee, tea, and hot cocoa pods, like Keurig's K-Cups but with an added kick.
These innovative pods take waking and baking to a whole new level, combining coffee and actual bits of cannabis flower, not just an oil or extract, into small compostable containers that are compatible with Keurig brewers. But don't worry, it doesn't taste like the liquid version of a joint, as the resulting beverages are "virtually absent of cannabis odor and taste," according to an official press release.
There's quite the variety of Brewbudz options to suit anyone's needs and tastes. The coffee pods are available in either regular or decaf and there are three different tea flavors: black, green, and chamomile. Oh, and not to mention the decadent hot cocoa made with dark chocolate. Damn, these sound tasty. Whereas the coffee and caffeinated tea are paired with sativa strains of weed (which are generally seen as more stimulating and invigorating), the decaffeinated options are made with indica strains of weed, which are known to have more relaxing, sedative effects if you're looking to de-stress at the end of a long day. In order to find the exact strength that works for you, customers can select a dosage when ordering their pods, either 10, 25, or 50 mg of THC.
So where can one purchase these magical pick-me-ups? It looks like Brewbudz are currently only available in a few dispensaries throughout Nevada, although the Cannabiniers have plans to also make them available in Colorado and California, among other states in the future.
