Behold: The Blue-Eyed Babe Behind the Chewbacca Mask in The Last Jedi
World, meet Joonas Suotamo. You likely won't recognize this blue-eyed, blond-haired hunk of an actor by looks or by name because he spends most of his camera time hidden behind an iconic, furry costume. That's right - Joonas plays everyone's favorite Wookiee, Chewbacca, in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Joonas, a 31-year-old Finnish actor and basketball player, took over the role of Chewbacca from veteran actor Peter Mayhew for the latest Star Wars installment, and he's set to play the character again in the upcoming Han Solo spinoff movie, Solo: A Star Wars Story. Towering above the rest of the world at a staggering 6'10", he's truly a sight for sore eyes, and we're more than happy to see him join the legendary Star Wars family.
Unfortunately, Joonas is off the market, as he recently got engaged to a woman named Milla Pohjasvaara, but that doesn't mean we can't gawk at his mesmerizing eyes and perfectly tousled blond locks in the pictures ahead, right?
