The Simple Yet Incredible Thing 1 Cafe Is Doing For Breastfeeding Moms
Trying to find a spot to breastfeed your little one can be a difficul task for nursing moms. Between dealing with looks from strangers who have a negative attitude toward breastfeeding in public and the logistics of just finding an available space, many new moms come to expect less-than-pleasant experiences. But one cafe in Australia is making it a point to treat nursing mothers the way that they should be treated - with respect - and its welcoming attitude is being met with applause from many.
Not only does The Willows Cafe in Sydney offer a free cup of tea to breastfeeding moms, but it also has a large sign that says "Breastfeeding moms, pop in, have a free cup of tea if you need a pit stop . . . no need to eat, no need to ask - please relax." This very public invitation sets the tone that this is a welcoming environment for nursing mamas, where they will be greeted with the warmth and support that they deserve.
