Fans Are Asking "Where Is the Diversity?" in Solid & Striped's Swimsuit Campaign

Solid & Striped's swimsuits are already beloved by the A-list crowd, especially models. It was only fitting, then, that the brand tapped 13 ladies from the fashion industry for a special collaboration called Solid & Striped Swim Team. Each woman was able to design her own swimsuit, whether it be a bikini or one-piece, which then came in a variety of three colors.

The "team members" included stars like Lily Aldridge, Barbara Palvin, Elsa Hosk, Jourdan Dunn, and Hannah Ferguson. Although the swimsuits, overall, spoke to those who love minimalist, well-designed swimwear, the campaign noticeably lacked curvier models and models of color.

Several Twitter users pointed this out, with one infuencer, saying, "Can we talk about the lack of diversity shown here from @SolidandStriped!!!! Jeeeezzzz." Another user tweeted, "They should have saved themselves some money & just copy/pasted any one of the girls because I wouldn't have noticed the difference." The lack of diversity didn't go unnoticed on Solid & Striped's Instagram either, where fans expressed their dismay at the photos.
