14 Facts About How Teens Use the Internet That Will Make Your Jaw Drop
It's no secret that teens love their smartphones and boast about how much they use them in different ways. But we never imagined teens spend about nine hours a day looking at their phones to hear music, watch TV, go on social media, text, and more. That's why the team at Rawhide Boys Ranch decided to look at the data and examine exactly how teens use tech products and what every parent can learn from it.
As you'll see, teens use smartphones for most of their consumption - 46 percent total. It makes total sense, considering teens use their phones to text while studying, to watch TV while doing homework, and to post to social media while in class. Parents are totally worried, with one in three thinking about how this will affect their kids in regards to online safety, sleep deprivation, reduced physical activity, and sliding grades.
