Alan Cumming's NYC Apartment Has Cool Written All Over It
Alan Cumming is ready to give up his swanky East Village apartment in NYC. The actor recently listed his four-bedroom, one-bathroom co-op for $2.2 million after purchasing the property in 2005 for roughly $1.6 million. The Wall Street Journal reports Alan and his husband, Grant Shaffer, purchased and renovated another townhouse in the neighborhood, which is set to be complete later this year; thus, it's the ideal time to start showing his trendy pad to potential buyers.
The space has a classic yet quirky vibe and spans nearly 1,500 square feet. Wood-framed windows, paisley walls, and traditional long bookshelves overlook Tompkins Square Park. The witty apartment is truly a reflection of the effortlessly cool culture of the East Village neighborhood. Read on to get an even better look at Alan's fanciful pad.
