Google Is Releasing 2 New Apps That Will Change the Way You Communicate This Summer
Making plans and expressing your emotions via text will be a lot more legit now, thanks to Google.
At the 2016 Google I/O developer conference, the company announced two new smart-communication apps: Allo and Duo, two apps that combine all the things you need to communicate with the power of digital advancements.
Allo, Google's new messaging app, focuses on getting feelings and emotions across in more than just emoji. Using a variety of stickers and Google Assistant, users can say more of what they really mean (eliminating the risk of ruining your conversations by using the wrong emoji). Allo is making reacting to messages, finding information, and even making plans more seamless - in fact, it's so seamless you won't even have to leave your chat - with Google Assistant capabilities featured in the app. At the mere mention of a cuisine, Google Assistant promises to provide you with restaurants in your area along with reviews. Allo is also compatible with OpenTable, so you can make reservations in the midst of your chat.
Unlike other messenger apps, Google also prides Allo on its core security features. For the first time ever, users will be able to have Incognito chats (like you would on Google Chrome) so that both ends of the conversations are encrypted and protected. You can choose how long your conversation lives and when it disappears to have complete control over your information.
Google is also making accessing friends and family easier with its video messaging app, Duo. The video feature is making interacting with friends from afar even more real. Users can interact with someone on the other end of the call before it even begins. And Duo is also allowing communication with people on different service carriers with compatibility across multiple mobile platforms.
The best part of both of these apps are that you won't have to wait too long to upgrade and control your communication. Allo and Duo will be available on the Android and iOS app market this Summer! Read on to see more amazing features of the new apps.
