This Artist Uses Plants and Flowers to Create Unique Tattoos
Deciding on what to get as your next tattoo? You might want to fly to Ukraine to try the latest trend, where an artist uses real-life plants and flowers to create unique tattoos.
Based in Kiev, tattoo artist Rita "Rit Kit" Zolotukhina uses real plants and flowers to create a design that is completely your own. To do this, Zolotukhina submerges the plant in tattoo stencil ink. After the dipped plant or flower is placed on your skin, Zolotukhina sketches in the rest of the tattoo and wipes it away during the actual tattooing process. The final design usually includes the natural occurring differences in nature like a missing leaf.
The artist behind these tattoos really enjoys making these designs. "It's my favorite way to make tattoos, and I think the most natural," Zolotukhina said to Illusion Magazine. "They're like botanical fingerprints on the bodies of other brave nature loves."
Check out some of Zolotukhina's amazing work ahead, and be sure to follow her on Instagram. If this doesn't suit your needs, you can always try the 3D tattoo trend instead.
