Justin Timberlake Gets Silly and Serious While Accepting His Teen Choice Decade Award
Justin Timberlake brought his signature charm and sex appeal to the stage at the Teen Choice Awards in LA on Sunday. The "Can't Stop the Feeling" singer was on hand to accept the decade award for his longtime contributions to music and pop culture, which was presented to him by none other than retired NBA star Kobe Bryant (just weeks ago, Justin honored the Los Angeles Lakers legend with an icon award at the ESPYs). During Kobe's introduction, Justin was his usual charismatic self, playing to the camera in his seat and pretending he was about to kiss Key & Peele star Keegan-Michael Key on his way to the stage.
Despite the fact that most of the people in the audience were too young to remember his debut solo hit, "Like I Love You," or even - gasp! - his time in *NSYNC, the crowd was undeniably thrilled to be in the presence of Mr. Sexy Back himself. Clad in a cute sweater, Justin gave some inspirational wisdom to the crowd: "Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth," he said. "Be generous. Be kind." Justin was also congratulated on his big win via Twitter by the band's official account, saying, "Congrats @jtimberlake on your Decade #teenchoice Award! Proud of you."
