Sub Out Bread in Your Thanksgiving Dressing With This 1 Pantry Staple
Our video host Brandi Milloy joined Dr. Oz to share a few Thanksgiving hacks. First, Brandi recommends subbing chickpeas for the bread in dressing. She used our bacon-cornbread dressing recipe and replaced the the cornbread with drained and rinsed canned chickpeas. The chickpeas bake up just like the cornbread pieces and offer a crispy exterior with a chewy interior. It's gluten-free-friendly, plus helps you use up ingredients you likely already have stocked in your kitchen. Brandi also recommends chopping your vegetables using a food processor, a timesaver for sure. She also shared our recipe for green beans with caramelized onions as a tastier alternative to green bean casserole. Watch the video below to see the full segment, so you, too, can incorporate these cooking tips for your own Thanksgiving feast.
