This Is How Chrissy Teigen Celebrates Her Birthday (Hint: Not With Cake)

Chrissy Teigen celebrated her 31st birthday on Wednesday in Mexico by getting drunk and making soup, proving once again that she's our spirit animal. After her husband John Legend shared a sweet birthday message on the beach, Chrissy and John headed inside, where Chrissy got "pretty tequila drunk at 11 a.m." and made pozole rojo (a Mexican pork soup) without ever having made it before. "Making pozole rojo in Mexico because these ingredients are toooooooo beautiful," Chrissy tweeted as she and John watched Family Guy in the kitchen. Chrissy made her soup with spicy dried chiles, onions, homemade chicken broth, pork, avocado, and cilantro rice.

The Cravings cookbook author and mom to adorable baby Luna shared a video of herself chopping vegetables in a gold metallic bathing suit, saying, "beef stew!" followed by a tweet that acknowledged her mistake.

Chrissy admitted she didn't know why she chose a warm comfort food for the hot weather in Mexico, saying, "I have no idea why I am making pork stew in 85-degree weather." Either way, it looks amazing and is an even better treat than a birthday cake - Chrissy has admitted she's not a dessert person and doesn't like to bake. As if we needed further proof that Chrissy is indeed a self-proclaimed "soup master," this seals the deal.
