Mars's Curiosity Rover Honored Obama's Legacy in the Coolest Way
On Jan. 12, NASA's Curiosity rover tweeted out an epic photo of the way it has honored President Barack Obama's presidency: by delivering his signature to Mars!

"Signed, sealed, delivered. I carried @POTUS's signature to the surface of #Mars." a tweet from the official Curiosity rover account tweeted. The kind gesture is also a historic one, as it is the first time a United States president has ever had his signature on the red planet. In a separate statement on its official website, NASA revealed the photo of Barack Obama's signature was taken in 2012.
The 44th president wasn't the only one who received the special honor. Vice President Joe Biden's signature was also delivered on a plaque to Mars and will remain there for years to come. "The rectangular plaque is made of anodized aluminum," the website noted, adding that the president and vice president's signatures were "affixed to the rover's deck with four bolts."
President Obama responded to NASA on Twitter, calling the plaque "out of this world." Check out his full response below, which just might be his final dad joke as president.
