Read This Dad's Heartbreaking Response After His Daughter Was Tragically Killed by Her Mom
In an unbelievably tragic turn of events, New Jersey native Lisa Marie Scalia accidentally rolled onto and smothered her own daughter, Olaia Marie, while under the influence of drugs. Scalia was subsequently jailed on $100,000 bail and charged with drug possession and child endangerment. Despite the heartbreaking loss, Olaia's father is preaching the unexpected: forgiveness.
In a Facebook post, Marco Mejia came to Lisa Marie's defense when he wrote, "She definitely made the biggest mistake anyone can make but I refuse to believe she did this horrible act on purpose." He added, "No one is in more pain than me except probably her."
