See the First Photos From Paul Rudd and Alexander Skarsgard's Mysterious New Netflix Movie
If you're done bingeing The OA and you're looking for a new, mysterious Netflix property to obsess over, Paul Rudd and Alexander Skarsgard are here for you. They star in the streaming giant's latest original film, Mute, which looks like the perfect futuristic thriller to tide us over until Blade Runner 2049 hits theaters. Mute is directed by Warcraft's Duncan Jones and is described as a "spiritual sequel" to his debut sci-fi film, Moon, since it takes place in the same universe. Set in the near future, Leo (Skarsgard) is a mute bartender living in Berlin, whose beautiful girlfriend, Naadirah (Seyneb Saleh), disappears. With the help of two American surgeons (Rudd and Justin Theroux), Leo descends into the city's seedy underbelly in search of his lost love. It won't premiere until sometime later this year (the exact date is still TBD), but for now, take a peek at the first handful of images to get a sense of what we're all in for.
