This Japanese Artist Transforms Common Household Items Into Cute, Itsy-Bitsy Dioramas
Japanese artist Tatsuya Tanaka has discovered the cutest little niche within the art world - and has spent every day of the past five and a half years perfecting his craft. Tanaka is the creative genius behind the Miniature Calendar project, aka our newest addiction. And once you take a glance at his artwork, we can guarantee it'll be yours, too.
As part of the daily project, he crafts adorable miniature dioramas that feature everyday household items alongside itsy-bitsy figurines interacting with them in a lifelike way. A Pringles can transforms into a construction site, a tissue box turns into a surfer's avenue for hanging 10, and a sunny-side-up egg becomes a faraway island destination. You just have to see these teeny-tiny creations to believe them, so keep reading to check some of our favorites. Be sure to join Tanaka's 608,000 followers on Instagram for daily artistic posts to brighten your feed.
