This Sailor Moon Makeup Collection Is So Pretty It'll Leave You Seeing Stars
In celebration of Sailor Moon's 25th anniversary, various beauty brands are launching products and entire collections honoring the beloved manga series. Now joining those brands is Shiseido: the Japanese company just announced a two-product Sailor Moon-inspired collection to be released under their MAQuillAGE line.
The upcoming collection includes two foundation products: the Dramatic Skin Sensor Base UV and the Dramatic Powdery UV. The former is a light base that is meant to create a smooth and seamless complexion, all the while minimizing the appearance pores or shine. The Dramatic Powdery UV, on the other hand, is a powder foundation that provides light coverage for everyday use. Unfortunately, both of the products only come in two shades - both of which are fairly light.
When purchased together for 7,020 yen ($61) the set also comes with a velvet compact pouch and decorative sticker. The collection will be available on a Japanese beauty site, Premium Bandai, on April 21. You can also officially preorder it online now. International shoppers can purchase them through Premium Bandai using a proxy service. It will also be available in select stores, however, it is unclear whether that will include locations outside of Japan. We have reached out to for further information.
