We Need to Talk About the Clueless-Inspired Tartan Skirt Queen Máxima Is Wearing
Did Queen Máxima of the Netherlands just reach into her daughters' closet and snag one of their skirts? Or perhaps she recently watched Clueless and felt inspired, because she's giving us serious uniform vibes with her latest look.
The Argentina-born queen hosted a reception for the diplomatic corps at the royal palace in Amsterdam in a raspberry look we can't get enough of. For the event, Máxima chose a knee-length tartan skirt with hints of copper, yellow, and raspberry to match her bright top and velvet heels, paying attention to every detail by accessorizing with a perfectly placed dragonfly pin at the waist. Waving to the crowds and flashing her contagious smile, Queen Máxima and her Cher Horowitz-approved skirt had all our attention as she made her way into the palace with her husband, King Willem-Alexander - yes, we know Cher's skirt was way shorter, but the trend is there in essence.
