While you were out collecting Pokémon in a frenzy, you probably forgot about the stories behind these creatures. Well, grab the tissues and prepare yourself to find out the dark side of Pokémon with these illustrated sad facts about them.
Designed and created by illustrator Brooke Barker in Portland, OR, the facts will make you feel slightly sorry for the Pokémon. The details appear to be taken from the Pokémon's entries in the Pokédex. If you recognize Barker's illustrations, then you're probably familiar with her popular Instagram called Sad Animal Facts. Barker's account has more than 79,000 followers who enjoy seeing mopey facts about animals.
