This Woman Was in Active Labor When She Voted So You Have No Excuse

Too busy to vote? Sorry, not buying it. Your hectic workday is no excuse, especially when you consider what this pregnant woman was dealing with when she took the time to cast her ballot.

Colorado resident Soshy Adelstein wasn't due to give birth until Election Day, but she went into labor on Nov. 4. Instead of rushing to the hospital, she and her husband, Max Brandel, stopped by the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder's Office to do their civic duty first.

At that time, her contractions were roughly seven to 10 minutes apart, and she said the whole process conveniently took about 10 minutes.

Next stop was Boulder Community Health Foothills Hospital, where Soshy gave birth to a healthy baby girl named Bella Rose on Nov. 5, roughly 14 hours after they voted . . . for Hillary Clinton.

"It's really important for us to bring our girl into a world we are proud of," Max said. "We hope people realize the risks inherent in this election and get out and vote."

And if they could fit it into their busy schedules, so can you.
