Lily Tomlin Turned Her Tribute at the SAG Awards Into a Hilarious Stand-Up Routine

Once all of the A-list talent had finished sashaying down the Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet on Sunday night, they made their way inside LA's Shrine Expo Hall to celebrate the highly anticipated winners. Along with big wins for Julia Louis-Dreyfus and the cast of Orange Is the New Black, the SAG Awards celebrated the legacy of icon Lily Tomlin. Longtime friend and 9 to 5 costar Dolly Parton presented her with the SAG Life Achievement Award (with an absolutely adorable introduction), followed by a highlight reel of the Grace and Frankie star's best work over the years. Lily then launched into a hilarious speech of her own, which contained nuggets of wisdom about life, love, and having too many drinks at the bar:

"Don't leave the house when you're drunk. If you're already out there, well, you must learn to tell when you've had too much to drink. Listen to your friends when they stop talking to you, and start talking about you. Saying things like 'Did she have a purse?'"

In other words, her spur-of-the-moment stand-up routine was easily one of the best moments of the night.
