Parents Who Forgave the Truck Driver Who Killed Their 2 Sons Are Expecting Twins

In 2015, Hadley Eddings and her husband Gentry lost both of their boys in a horrific car accident over Memorial Day weekend. At 38 weeks pregnant, Hadley was driving home with her 2-year-old son, Dobbs, while Gentry followed in his car behind them, when a box truck ran a red light and slammed into both cars.

Although Dobbs was secured in his car seat, he passed away on the way to the hospital, and doctors were forced to perform an emergency C-section on Hadley, but baby Reed only lived for a few days. Despite this tragedy, Hadley and Gentry did the unthinkable and chose not to hate the man behind the wheel. "We have, in our hearts, forgiven the man who did this," the North Carolina couple said at Dobbs's funeral.

Now, nearly two years after losing both of their kids, Hadley and Gentry made another monumental announcement: they're expecting twins. "Y'all have held us up in prayer and we are so grateful! Now we ask you to add two more Eddings to your prayers! We are expecting twins this summer!" Hadley shared on Facebook along with a sonogram picture.

According to Gentry's sister, moving on and forgiving the driver was both easy and difficult for the couple all at the same time. "Hard because our natural inclination is to cling to the pain and hurt and even anger," Amber Justice told People. "Easy because we believe in a good God."
