You've Got to Watch This Video of Doctors Cutting a Baby Out of Its Own Amniotic Sac
Earlier this month, we released breathtaking photos of a baby being born entirely inside its own amniotic sac, known as "en caul." If that wasn't fascinating enough, there's now video of another infant in the same rare state. In the remarkable footage, you can see the newborn moving - he squirms and even yawns! - safely within the sac as doctors prepare to snip it open. But perhaps no moment is as miraculous as when the baby is thrust out of the casing, slides right into a pair of welcoming hands, and breathes in air for the very first time.
