Demi Lovato Reportedly Rushed to LA Hospital For Possible Heroin Overdose

Demi Lovato was hospitalized after a drug overdose on Tuesday, law enforcement told TMZ. The outlet first reported that Demi was taken to an LA hospital and was being treated after being found unconscious at her home. LAPD officer Ray Brown also told Us Weekly that "authorities responded to her home in Hollywood at 11:37 a.m. local time." Paramedics reportedly found Demi unconscious when they arrived. Law enforcement sources also confirmed to TMZ that Demi was treated with Narcan, an emergency treatment for drug overdoses, by friends. Demi is allegedly in "stable" condition now, with Us Weekly saying that the singer "is going to be OK."

The 25-year-old singer was out celebrating a friend's birthday in West Hollywood on Monday night, and the party reportedly continued at her home with friends. In fact, it was the unidentified friends who administered the Narcan to Demi when she was unconscious, Us reports. "One of her friends had Narcan on hand in case something like this happened," they said. "Her friends knew this was coming because she's been using so much again. They were up all night partying the night before at her house."

Demi was scheduled to perform in Atlantic City on Thursday, but the concert has since been canceled, Variety confirmed. Demi has been outspoken about her sobriety in the past. In her Simply Complicated documentary, she talked in depth about her addiction to cocaine. In her latest single, "Sober," Demi revealed she had relapsed after six years of sobriety. Throughout the song, she apologizes to her parents and directly addresses her fans. Our hearts go out to Demi during this time.
