At Google, Women Are Leaving Emotional and Empowering Post-It Notes to Each Other
"You are amazing." "Love wins." "Ok Ladies, now let's get in formation." These different quotes appeared on a handful of Post-It notes in a women's bathroom at Google's office in San Francisco, where women are choosing to support and empower each other in the wake of the election results.
The Post-It notes, which appeared on Nov. 11 and are all anonymous, vary in what they say but the message is clear: women are offering support to each other in a time when they might need it the most. Many of the women who are posting photos of the Post-It notes are writing captions about how thankful they are to work at a company where this could and is happening.
Google has yet to comment publicly about Donald Trump winning the election and what it might mean for the company. However, it's clear that internally, some women at the company are ready to champion each other.
Look ahead for some of the Post-It notes, and maybe it'll inspire you to do the same at your office.
