This Wedding's Cityscape Backdrop Was Almost as Gorgeous as the Bride's Twinkly Dress

When POPSUGAR editor Brinton Parker began planning her big day, we all knew it would be a celebration to remember. Her love of movie fandoms, sweet treats, and trendsetting beauty came together flawlessly when she tied the knot with her longtime partner, Christopher Botkin. The breathtaking ceremony took place on Treasure Island, San Francisco, with the cityscape as the background. Friends and family gathered to watch the pair say their vows - which included sweet Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings references, of course.

"I cried so. freakin'. much. on the wedding day, but I'd say that the most emotional moment for me was when Christopher began reading the vows that he wrote," Brinton said. "He's typically not an outspoken romantic, but every word of his vows was so heartfelt and personal that it made me choke up."

The reception followed at The Winery SF, where guests were treated to a visit from the Johnny Doughnuts truck and were surrounded by lush floral decor.

"My florist, Flower Girl Em, absolutely blew us out of the water," Brinton said. "We opted for scattered bud vases instead of centerpieces as a cost-saving move, but Emily went above and beyond everything I could have ever expected. She incorporated fruits like fresh oranges into the head table arrangement, every single piece - from boutonnieres to bouquets - was flawless. Her creativity astounds me and she's one of my favorite people to follow on Instagram!"

"Then, I'd say that our doughnut truck was a verrry close second favorite detail; who doesn't love carbs on wheels arriving halfway through a party? I've never gotten so many compliments about a dessert . . . several of the vegan guests said that their vegan options were the best doughnuts they've ever eaten."

The happy evening came to a close when guests hit the dance floor and took some snaps in the gold sparkly photo booth. You could feel the love everyone had for the newlyweds as they enjoyed one of those most important days of their lives.

"From the get-go, Christopher always told me that he didn't care how our wedding looked, as long as we got to celebrate with our loved ones and we walked away as husband and wife. If I had to guess his favorite moment, I would say it was tearing up the dance floor and partying with all of our friends and family - he danced so hard, he split his pants!"

And that's what we call a successful wedding.
